David Weitz is Co-Founder, President and CEO of Syrna Therapeutics, a San Diego-based biotechnology company pioneering structure-guided drug discovery for mRNA. Syrna is developing small molecules designed to inhibit translation of disease-causing proteins by targeting structured domains in mRNA. David is an experienced biotech and pharmaceutical leader whose career spans drug discovery, intellectual property and research-site leadership. Before founding Syrna, he spent two decades at Syrrx/Takeda, where he led and helped scale integrated research operations.
